About who needs care: 65-year-old Female - stroke victim - Cancer patient - diabetic - smokes - urinary-incontinence - limited mobility. Lives at home with husband, but he is not able to provide all care. She has a great sense of conversation and loves puzzles, crosswords, and card games/solitaire. Ideal day will be a morning shower, some light stretches and some assisted walking (10feet). Make breakfast and ensure she eats a healthy balanced meal. Clean up the kitchen and perform some house bedroom and bathroom cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary space, to include washing bedding and clothes. Caretaker would be provided a private room and bathroom, the expectation would be the live-in care would be each morning, evening and overnight. The client does require care periodically during the night due to incontinence. Ideally the care provider would be able to have most of the afternoon to themselves (12pm-6pm). This is a position that is care for a spouse, although the husband lives in the home and is able bodied he needs help and cannot handle all the care. About the care needs: Someone with unmeasurable patience and is understanding of a person who is not capable of adult logic due to health and cognitive injury (stroke victim) Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
