About who needs care: My grandpa is a dementia patient who wants someone to talk to and to help him complete daily tasks like making food, help doing some daily tasks like turning on the tv and lights. He is independent for many tasks and can ambulate with a walker. While he is mostly independent he does have episodes where he will try and leave the house, talk to his deceased wife, talk to voices, and even Jesus/God. We do have locks on all the doors to prevent him from getting out at night. He is a very sweet person 99% of the time but during an episode he can have a little attitude. About the care needs: Talkative, no specialized skills other than previous dementia experience, he likes to watch football during the season and Josh gates.
