About the job
About who needs care: My mom and dad are both in their 80s and live together. My dad has dementia. Although it is still considered mild (mostly effecting his short-term memory), it is very hard on my mom to be caregiver. We'd like a regular caregiver to ease the burden on my mom, help with meals, remind my dad to shower take meds etc,, provide companionship, maybe even go on walks with him, and some light housekeeping. About the care needs: Very easygoing, great sense of humor, some experience with memory issues would be great, very patient (it will be hard on my mom relinquishing some control). Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
