About the job
About who needs care: Tom has dementia and can't be left alone for long periods of time. That said, he still cares for himself. We really just need someone occasionally for peace of mind leaving him alone. He's very friendly and loves to talk to people, but needs a lot of reassurance that his wife is coming back and will ask about her over and over, so needs someone very patient. He mostly watches gameshows on TV and naps. He eats "lunch" at 10:30 which he prepares himself, but needs supervision to make sure the stove is off etc when he's done. About the care needs: Just someone patient who is ready to talk to a really friendly but confused old man. Services needed include: companionship.
