Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Congress

About who needs care: My Mom would be the patient, however my Dad needs help with meal prep and laundry(he doesn't want to do it) . My Mom is unable to stand or walk on her own. She needs assistance with getting on the commode, dressing, changing her diaper, getting from the chair to the wheelchair and back again. At night she gets put on a wick system so that she doesn't need to get up to go to the bathroom. They both have touches of memory loss. My Mom loves to sit outside and she does have an electric wheelchair and would love to be able to use it and tool around the neighborhood. She loves her antiques, gardening that she can't do anymore, Playing Cards (I bought them card holders ). Their Ideal day would be 8 a.m. - take the Wick system off my mom, changing her clothes, getting her in the wheelchair for breakfast (you would have to wake up my dad who sleeps on the couch to be close to my mom) After breakfast sit out on the back patio and watch the birds and the rabbits for a while. From there she usually will go back into her recliner until lunch time. After Lunch, depending on the weather another sitting outside in the fresh air is in order. Then she will come back in, go back to her recliner and watch TV until dinner time. After dinner she will sit at the table for a while and maybe play cards or just talk. Then at 8 pm, her wick goes in, she gets put in her pajamas, they both have a snack of applesauce and fruit and mom's 81 mg aspirin. My Mom sleeps in the recliner at night. After that they are good until the next morning. About the care needs: A friendly caring personality but one that also can put aside their grouchiness on their bad days. The only specialized skills would be someone who is able to pick my mother up from her chair as she is almost completely immobile. A great story teller and listener would be perfect. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
