About the job
MUST have experience with advanced Parkinson's Disease. Our awesome parents are very independent, and fun loving, so we want to maintain a good quality of life for them by providing support for our Dad. Our care goals are: assistance with speech practices, healthy activities (walks, puzzles, games- bring your own too!) companionship, light tidying, possible laundry or meal warming, and vigilant attention to his safety. We require someone who has experience with Parkinson's patients, who understands the importance of patience, engagement, and respect. Bill loves sports (auto racing!) has a witty sense of humor, and a heart of gold. He is mobile, but has taken some falls recently so we require assistance for this. He is a small framed person, weighing about 130. Position is part time, wage commensurate with experience.
