About who needs care: My dad has Parkinson's. My mom was his caregiver, and she passed suddenly. He has been in a skilled facility for rehab due to breaking his shoulder. I honestly didn't expect him to improve the way he has. He is excellent during the day, but still needs help because sometimes he has trouble getting out of a chair or off the toilet, or pulling his pants up and down. He has trouble sleeping at night and gets confused about time at night, so then he's awake and will wake me up, which also wakes up my husband and daughter. We would love for him to be able to stay home and out of a facility. We only have one facility close to us where I can check on him daily. We would bring him to our house, but we have stairs and it really isn't a safe place for him. About the care needs: Someone that is very talkative. Also that wouldn't mind giving him a shower or helping him to dress. Someone that likes the outdoors and might help and encourage him to do outdoor activities. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
