About who needs care: She is a fall risk but does walk. Eats breakfast around 9:00 when she wakes. Watches a lot of TV all day and in the evening. She does require assistance when going outside. She does love to walk outside when the weather is hospitable. About the care needs: Someone who enjoys talking would be nice. My mother loves to talk about my deceased dad and her friends and grandchildren. She is a fall risk but seems to do well in the home. She definately needs someone to walk holding her arm usually when walking outside due to uneven surfaces. She needs assistance with baths. She dresses herself taking a great deal of time, but seems to enjoy this task on her own. If she needs assistance she will ask for it. She has dementia, but can still go to the restroom, fix snacks, dress herself, etc. she sometimes get frustrated, thinks people are taking her money, but we no longer let her have money and this seems to have resolved some of this problem, and she frequently gets dates wrong. But usually doesn't get overly angry at things. She doesn't have hobbies or interests per se, but loves to watch tv and talk about the plots of stories from tv programs. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
