My mom has dementia which has rapidly progressed over the past few years. She is currently walking on a walker, which was brought on by a fall that resulted in a fractured femur. She is very unsteady and requires supervision when she walks. She has macular degeneration in her left eye and is almost completely blind. She also has hearing issues that she refuses to correct. She requires assistance in all daily living skills, including her medications. She wears disposable adult diapers. Right now she is getting home health care from SAAD'S. She is usually lighthearted and good-natured. She loves her dogs. They are not mean, but need to be fed and given water and put outside.
