About who needs care: Alzheimers - they have difficulty communicating. All personal hygiene must be done by care giver. Patient resists taking medication. Sometimes uses walker, but mostly in wheelchair. About the care needs: An upbeat personality with a great deal of patience. Ideally has experience caring for dementia patients that may become resistant, live in a different reality and may become agitated with some frequency. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
