About who needs care: Her name is June and She is 97 going on 98. lives alone. Eyesight has declined. She has tinnitus and is always dizzy, she needs assistance daily to take her meds correctly. She has lived there for over 50 years and her husband of 72 years passed in 2019 and since then we have been caring for her. But its gotten to the point that she needs more attention than what we can provide. We will still be active in caring for her as well. Her balance and coordination has declined and she has taken tumbles and been lucky to not have injured herself. She gets her meds mixed up (we strongly believe) she drops them a lot and doesnt realize. Her cooking skills arent sharp anymore. She does ok but needs better meals. She is quite picky and we can work with her caregiver on learning her preferences. Would love to connect and discuss further about getting care for my amazing grandmother. About the care needs: I would say patience. Someone compassionate and patient that wouldnt mind letting her tell her stories to, she has experienced so many things in her span of 97 years. She enjoys her plants and antiques and her beloved kitty. Someone that can judge when to be assertive with her but in a way it wouldnt upset her. She does get confused at times. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
