About who needs care: My Mom has a pacemaker, is slow moving and needs help with organizing her things, room, eating sensibly, and sleeping(she has bedside oxygen). She could use an assistant and companion for two hours a day. She reads and sometimes, writes to create her book. She is awake, makeup ready, dressed to receive her meal at 10:30 a.m. five days a week. After a short conversation with the delivery person, she returns to her room, attaches her oxygen and is in and out of sleep. She does not eat lunch( appetite), but needs to by 2:00, so as to get somewhat on a day schedule. She has pills to take 3 times a day. It is at 2:00, that a care person could help her eat lunch (pills) and converse, then, straighten her room before resuming oxygen and going to nap at 4:00. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
