About who needs care: Mom is really vibrant and has her wits about her. She has a bad shoulder and arthritis in one hand which hinder her abilities on some days. She recently had a TIA and is being cared for by local physicians and a neurologist who travels in from Salt Lake City. She needs transportation to and from appointments for Drs., physical therapy and personal care appointments. She would also like to be driven to shopping. Mom lives with my younger sister and her husband and they currently have to leave work several times a week to pick up and drop off mom. They both worry about her being alone all day everyday as well. We recently had a family meeting to discuss some part time help moving forward. Mom is aware that we are looking into this as well. About the care needs: Mom has a very fun personality... certainly young at heart for almost 92! She loves to read, do crosswords, keeps up with fashion and loves movies. She just recently stopped driving and cannot leave the house during icy weather without an arm for support. She is a well loved member of the Jackson community. They have two small, adorable and loving dogs in the house that mom lets in and out regularly. They keep her company! Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
