About who needs care: Sound mind. Loves to interact and converse. Long-standing prostate cancer has metastasized to his bones (especially in the pelvis/leg area), resulting in some fractures. This makes transfers difficult, requiring some assistance. Can't stand for any significant time, as right leg needs to be as non-weight bearing as possible. Has periodic GI issues (most likely from years of radiation) that can result in nausea and diarrhea/incontinence. About the care needs: Ideally looking for a caregiver (or maybe a husband and wife team) who would be a live-in caregiver at a beautiful home in the mountains of West Virginia. Caregiver would stay either in main house (with patient) or in a nearby small house. Both are situated on a mountainside with incredible views, and a large piece of land (hiking and ATV riding options). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
