About who needs care: My MIL is having a having surgery on Wed April 16th. She is currently recovering from breast cancer. She lives alone and has to use a walker for a bad hip. In the past she has been able to stay with step daughter after her surgeries however this time she won't be able to. We are looking for someone who can help with her post surgery to help with cooking, household needs, bathing, and walking her elderly dog (small dog). The work would be a temporary position but for at least the first two weeks it would be ideal to have someone who can spend the day with her and ensure she is ok during the week. after that we can evaluate how much care she will require or if she just will need someone to help with the dog and bathing. About the care needs: Someone who is very patient, social, but affirmative. My MIL is very kind and VERY chatty, She is very independent however she has a hard time getting around and requires a walker for any movement making it difficult for her to get around easily. Her surgery is not for her hip. she will need help bathing, basic household needs, and she's very particular about certain things. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
