Hands-on Care Needed For My Wife

About who needs care: My wife has ALS. She is wheelchair bound and has very limited mobility in general. She needs help with just about everything - including, but not limited to, getting in and out of bed and into her wheelchair (using a sit to stand lift), help with getting ready for the day, bathing, meals, etc. About the care needs: Ideally, we would like someone with a nursing background. At the very least, someone who understands ALS and has experience with patients with disabilities. The job will require some strength to lift, roll, and reposition my wife in bed (we do use a lift to transfer from wheelchair to bed). We are looking for someone with compassion and a proactive work ethic. A bonus would be someone who enjoys conversing and can offer my wife companionship during visits. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
