Hi! I'm a 38-year-old individual born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA type 2) and I've used a power wheelchair since childhood. I'm looking for a part to full-time caregiver for various mornings, some daytime and some overnights during the week. I've been self-directing my own care for all of my adult life. My caregivers wear many hats for me, as part of my care is very medical-focused (I have a urostomy, use a hoyer lift, a shower chair, physical therapy, etc), while the other part of my cares is helping me to live a fulfilling life, as I participate in work, hobbies, and adventures! I'm very active with my wheelchair -- I love hiking accessible trails and participating in adaptive recreation, so much of our shifts would involve being out in the community. *Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.
