About who needs care: My mom is recovering from a heart condition (A Fib) and a broken arm and wrist. She needs help with housework, running errands, and personal care (bathing/shower assistance getting in and out), meal prep, letting dogs in and out, feeding dogs and cat, getting to doctor appointments and rehab appointments, reminders to take medication. As she recovers she may need help getting up and moving about the house. We are looking for M-F help. Hours are flexible but ideally morning and afternoon would be great. About the care needs: Someone (ideally a woman) who has patience with older people. My mom can be set in her ways and she will take some getting used to having help. She prefers to be independent. After she recovers I can see this becoming a job that helps her with housework, animal care (feeding and letting out), and errands as needed. So we need someone who is ok with more work up front and less work as time goes on. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
