About who needs care: My sister has vascular dementia and lives alone. She loves crafts and jewelry making. She wants to live as independently as possible however needs help with decluttering her home, shopping, medication reminders, laundry, etc. About the care needs: Most importantly, we would like experience with dementia (issues with executive function - planning, organizing, initiating). Also someone who is warm, empathetic and personable. My sister is looking for someone to work with her to declutter her home and keep it that way rather than someone to do it for her. Also, she needs someone to shop for groceries, pick up medications, possibly take her to appointments. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
