Who needs care: Dad (95) has slow progressing Parkinson's but can feed himself, and, during the day, toilet himself and is ambulatory. Mom (91), takes care of dad with the help of another caregiver but we need additional help 2 consecutive days a week from 4 p.m. through the night to 8 a.m. the next morning. Schedule will typically be Thurs and Fri evenings and nights but can flex at times with current caregiver. Care needs: compassionate, patient, and caring; OK with medication prompting, showering, toileting (at night), doing light housework, cooking, climbing up and down stairs (two story home and basement). Will require waking and getting up at various times during the night to assist. Caregiver needs to have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance; and be able to provide a background check and 2-3 references.
