About who needs care: Preliminary diagnosis of dementia. Fall risk. Enjoys game show network. Social and would like to spend short periods of time in the community. Typically wakes up by 10:00. Would like a morning bath. Lunch around 12:00-12:30. Would like some companionship. I work from home primarily, but Im in an office most of the day so she spends most of her day alone outside of me getting meals and waking her up and occasionally breaks from work where I can visit. There is flexibility in the structure of her day. I will be managing all medical appointments. About the care needs: Someone who is compassionate and patient. Someone who is understanding of the loss of independence and some embarrassment that my mother can not do things for herself she wants to do. My mom is easy to get along with and she was a nurse before she had a stroke in 2005 and worked for n elder care. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
