About who needs care: Recurring TIAs, Osteoporosis/arthritis, uses a walker, beginning to need help dressing & showering, food prep. We are starting hospice but mainly because of his general decline. My Brother and our spouses will be taking care of him in his home pretty much 24/7. We expect to need help occasionally. Do not really have this pinned down. Looking at our options to add to what we will have from Hospice team. About the care needs: Kind, upbeat, good listeners. He is just out of the hospital after having to strokes in 2 days. He has mild impact fro those. We expect more. He also has a catheter now. Hoping that will only be needed for a few days, but he may nees to keep it longer. Someone comfortable with emptying and leaning the equipment. Possibly some personal care like monitoring him when he shows, uses the toilet. Right now mainly the shower and catheter and bag are the concerns. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
