About who needs care: She has MDS. She is transfusion-dependent and will need to go to infusion appointments and get labs done. She is a watercolor artist, so she paints daily. She loves tennis, so she watches all the tournaments she can. She reads a lot and checks books out of the nearby library. She used to be very active, taking walks. I take her to the river in her wheelchair and we go along the bike trail. She sleeps at 7 or 8 p.m. and usually is up by 4 or 5 a.m. She eats breakfast and then paints or watches tennis. She reads the news. She rests every couple of hours. She usually takes a shower before going out. (Lab days are Monday and Thursday) Later in the morning she watches some movies and reads when she's in bed resting. She eats lunch while watching TV or reading. If the weather is good, a trip to the river and a wander on the bike trail in her wheelchair. Come home, rest, and read. Maybe watch some TV, then have dinner.
