Caregiver

Adult Family Home in Puyallup is looking to fill a weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm) with opportunity for additional hours and days and may have a live-in position available. Experience with a Hoyer is preferred. This home has 6 residents at this time. If working multiple days in a row, there is a caregiver room which is available. This AFH is looking for someone that is independent, gentle, able and willing to adapt to residents routine and familiar with MAR/giving meds. Responsibilities: - Provide direct care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans - Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications as prescribed by the resident's physician - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature - Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting - Provide emotional support and companionship to residents - Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents - Follow all resident rights policies and procedures Qualifications: - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred - Knowledge of first aid and CPR - Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff - Experience with medication administration is a plus - Familiarity with home care services and dementia care techniques is beneficial We offer opportunities for career advancement.
