About who needs care: Do they have any underlying conditions? Yes, my Mom recently was diagnosed with having had more than one stroke in the balance part of her brain. She's still in the hospital so a lot remains unknown. She also has Crohn's Disease. What are their hobbies/interests? She loves reading. She used to be much more active. She could really benefit from being taken on short walks, and perhaps some light exercise. How would they structure their ideal day? Well, there's a big difference between how we her children would structure it and how she would structure it: if it were up to her she'd lie on the couch and read all day. We'd like her to get much more activity. The other--crucial--thing is for her to eat. She really doesn't eat nearly enough. About the care needs: What type of personality would be a good fit? A bright and outgoing personality would be best Are there any specialized skills they need? No Should they have any specific hobbies/interests? No, other than a basic understanding of light fitness programs, or at the very least of walking. Well, it would be nice if they were avid readers, but that's not essential Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
