About who needs care: My aunt had a stroke in April 2023 and is fully recovered. She is in early stages Alzheimers and is going thru the initial evaluation process in November. She receives meals on wheels. She is an active walker and walks around town only. Does not drive. My aunt is not always showering or changing her clothes on a daily basis and does not keep up with cleaning the house on a regular basis. About the care needs: My aunt can be feisty and stubborn at times, so a caregiver should be strong minded, but kind, and able to talk and carry on conversations. My aunt relaxes once she knows someone cares and she gets to know someone. Someone who could be a companion for a few hours a week to help out and check in to make sure shes safe. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
