About the job
We need a kind, capable companion to help my mid-70's father while he recovers from intestinal surgery, at his and my mom's home off of Bent Mountain road, for at least two months, 5 days a week, at least 4-6 hours a day. He is mentally together but physically weak and recovering, and has a temporary ostomy bag. He can walk with a rollator but requires assistance. Duties include: -Driving him to and from nearby medical appointments -Helping him stay comfortable, including assisting him up and down stairs and between locations ( but no lifting needed) -Assisting with showers and dressing when he needs help. - Emptying his ostomy bag -Light housekeeping (disinfecting, laundry, dishes), -Prepping and feeding him lots of small meals. His schedule may vary from week to week, and we are also able to be flexible on timing.
