About the job
My husband lives with paralysis from a spinal cord injury and requires help getting out of bed, showering, dressing and performing basic tasks. We have a ceiling lift for safe transfers, a roll in shower and a wheel chair accessible van for outings. Light housekeeping, meal prep and helping him exercise would be part of a caregiver's daily duties. This position requires driving my husband to doctor's appointments as needed. Open to discussing start/end times each day based on the right candidate's schedule. Due to needing daily coverage, this would be an ideal position to job share in order to get regular hours and ensure he has care M-F, but we are open to a reliable individual seeking M-F position. Payment for his care is administered through the agency, requiring a background check and being on bi-weekly payroll.
