About the job
We are looking someone to be a live-In care provider for our sister who is 87 and suffering from moderate/advanced dementia. We prefer someone with experience with dementia patients. Nursing background a plus. Room and board will be provided with additional pay based on experience. At this point she sleeps through the night regularly. She needs help with cooking, cleaning, and general hygiene and medication management. She enjoys getting out to shop, which consists mainly of the stores and occasional trips to the mall. We have caregivers now who come 7 days a week up to 6 hours a day. We will be willing to continue some external caregiver visits in order to give the in-home person a break.
