Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Chesapeake

About who needs care: My father has mild-moderate dementia/Alzheimer's. Need someone to make sure he gets ready on time for church on Sunday mornings. A couple in his neighborhood will pick him up at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings and take him to church with them and then return him to his home. He can shower and dress himself without a problem (may need assistance in attaching his suspenders to his pants). What he really needs is someone to come in at 8:00 a.m. Sunday to remind him, keep him on task and on time so that he is ready for pickup at 10:00 a.m. He tends to procrastinate and gets easily distracted. About the care needs: My father would probably prefer a woman; age is not as important as temperament. Someone with a sense of humor who can gently but firmly keep him on task so that he will be ready on time. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
