About who needs care: My wife Wendy was recently diagnosed with Anterograde Dementia. I am looking for a care giver that is more a personal aide to Wendy. Someone who can help her with her meds, be a motivator and friend, help her to be productive during her day and also encourage her when she is down, depressed, not feeling well. Right now, I'd like to have help 5 days a week, but we can evaluate Wendy's progression and growth and then determine if less time is needed. I would prefer a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). Wendy has several hobbies and interests - she most likes giving service to others. Perhaps this is a good starting point for her care. About the care needs: A woman, in her 40s - 60s. Someone who likes to talk a lot and listen to Wendy who will likely repeat herself many, many times. More than anything, someone who is friendly, has a strong medical / psychiatric background, strong Christian principals and a very friendly, cheery demeanor. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
