About who needs care: Marlene gets up about 8:30 a.m. She feeds herself meals, but in the afternoon gets anxious about getting out of the house for a ride. She would ride around all day if she could. She spends her day on embroidery. She is very healthy, but does have hearing loss and dementia. She needs to be watched on stairs. She starts getting ready for bed about 8 p.m. and watches TV until she retires at 10 p.m. About the care needs: The caregiver should be patient about repeating themselves to be heard. It would be nice if they could drive her around to get her mail and maybe a few errands. She would like to go out of town, but I would encourage the caregiver to decline. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
