About who needs care: Mild cognitive disorder. Focus and short term memory challenges. Needs to be reminded to bath, eat and take meds. Simple tasks are a challenge without guidance, such as cleaning and cooking. Enjoys small talk conversations, coffee, watching movies, listening to music, dinners out and shopping. Average Day: Get up have coffee, take a shower and wash hair, make sure clean clothes are out or she will wear the same thing everyday. Take day meds by noon if needed. Eat lunch, watch tv and love on dogs. She does know how to let the dogs out to potty, but doesn't always know when or how to feed and water them. End of day eat dinner I make for her and take night meds by 8-9 p.m. Watch more tv and in bed by 10 p.m. If she is up for a short walk in the day we do that too. About the care needs: Happy, humorous, patient and soft personality. Someone who has experience with cognitive disorder or dementia. Services needed include: companionship.
