About the job
Seeking companion care in McKinney for my 79-year-old husband who has mid-stage Alzheimer's & diabetes. His blood pressure can drop upon standing, making him dizzy & a fall risk, so I need someone to be with him when I leave the house. He wants to sleep too much & needs someone who can motivate him to engage in conversation, do simple tasks, puzzles & help him do simple physical therapy exercises, Administration of medication, while not necessary at this time, may be in the future. Experience with Alzheimer's patients required. As illness progresses, he may need additional assistance with personal care and mobility. I am looking for someone who will be with us long-term so he is comfortable with you as his disease progresses. Preference for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained.
