About the job
About who needs care: Dementia, decreased physical ability, uses wheelchair or walker, can stand but needs almost 100% assistance with toileting, bathing, eating, taking meds. We would like for her to be able to stay in her own home. She easy to be with until it is time to toilet or shower. She is resistant, and can sometimes get upset and stubborn, grabs onto her chair and wont let go etc. But other than those times of day, she is happy and easy-going. About the care needs: We need someone who is soft-spoken, who is patient, who has experience with dementia, and who can lift Mom onto the toilet or into the shower. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
