About who needs care: Dad is struggling with dementia that is annoying in his daily life. He is very independent and physically able but loses things frequently, can have trouble expressing himself (take extra time to find words or complete sentences), and has brief bouts of intense disorientation. He needs no help with dressing, feeding, or bathing. He needs mostly companionship and short term memory support at this time to complete daily tasks with greater ease and less frustration. My mom needs small respite from these responsibilities a couple of times a week. About the care needs: We would love if they spoke both Spanish y English, -enjoy problem solving and finding solutions to everyday challenges -have experience with memory care, patience, and friendly dipsosition - are flexible and open to a variety of activities in their visits from playing ping pong to organizing garage cabinets. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
