We need hands-on care to take care of my father OVERNIGHT at the center in Horseshoe Bay. , TX ) This is mostly to sit with him overnight and make sure he doesn't try to get out of bed without your assistance. Assistance with medications may be needed. Possibly some help with bathing. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and someone with experience with less-than-perfect patients who are stubborn. ;-) i. e. Some charm/finesse and extreme patience needed. Ideally this person would be sleeping during the day and awake/alert at night, though my Dad will mostly be sleeping. (He is recovering from two heart attacks and a defibrillator installation surgery.) Could be 2-4 weeks, depending on his progress.
