About who needs care: My mother is an East Texan, very hard of hearing and mostly blind. She had been an excellent cook and still tries preparing meals. She suffered a stroke in October and since has had memory issues. She tries to be an avid gardener to the best of her ability. About the care needs: My mother is particular about her things though she has not been able to keep them organized, especially since the stroke. She can be reasoned with. Hobbies are cooking, gardening, crochet. She enjoys TV shows like NCIS, Homesteaders, and the Discovery Channel. She needs help with keeping her kitchen clean and food put away or tossed. (She can't see if it's spoiled or left out.) Also, laundry, sweeping and mopping. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
