About who needs care: She has aphasia so speaking is difficult. She really wants a companion and having. Someone to talk to helps her mental abilities. She doesn't have any family near by so we look after her now and will be able to check on her over weekends and days when she doesn't have a care giver. She wants to age in place so this may become more full time care in the future. Currently she can still manage personal care and daily activities. She doesn't drive but still has a car. About the care needs: She likes to play games that are familiar ( cards) she needs somebody who is patient and kind but can take charge of the day and get things done that need to be done. She doesn't really need a lot of cooking ( she is a snacker) I do ask if shes eaten and what and when just to be sure that is still happening. We will be very involved but she needs somebody here more than we can be. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
