About the job
About who needs care: My dad is recovering from a hip injury in a skilled nursing facility and undergoing PT and OT to get back to his independent living unit (in the same facility). His insurance may kick him out soon, so I am looking into in-home caregiving as a plan B. He would need help getting in/out of bed, putting on his leg brace, getting to/from the toilet, and help with walking and doing his exercises. He currently weighs 138 pounds. About the care needs: Someone strong enough to catch him if he falls. My dad is a nice guy and he can be chatty, and I'm sure that after a long SNF stay, he'd be happy to talk to anyone about anything but medical care. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
