About who needs care: Mum is 99 and was in excellent health until she fell and broke her hip. She was already losing her short term memory a bit and has macular degeneration so cannot read or see the difference between products but I have tried to help her for the last 10 years. The general anesthesia has taken a toll on her brain and between it and the walker which she has never had until now, and having very little sense of her own safety after years of independence, we need someone to prompt her with her morning toilette cleansing (take a shower every 4th day), do her hair, apply cream under her eyes, lipstick, and dress her (we'll establish 10-14 outfits). Also watch to see that she takes her heart medicines and eats a little food and drinks a glass of water. Then, go for a walk down the hall and back and make sure she has lunch ordered. I think 90 mins a day with 2 hrs Wed and Sunday for a shower? About the care needs: I meant to say she is on Day 8 of rehab after hip surgery and this would start around Jan 24. She needs Upbeat, intelligent, upscale, very clear native English speaker with no accent from Philippines or Africa or the islands. (Maybe it will work if they speak very clearly!) She has poor hearing and will respond best to an upbeat, kind person who understands she has been an absolute superstar in her career and later as a member of her senior community. She is very social and later in her recovery I might ask for you to come twice a day and walk her down! That's at 3:30 each day. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
