About who needs care: Pulmonary hypertension along with lupus, autoimmune and chronic pain with an installed pain pump, she's complex! My 82 yo step dad is a saint, and has cared for her for a decade, but is simply needing a break to tend to errands, the yard and shopping. Need someone to help with general hygeine (ie lotion on legs) maybe take off nail polish, help with make up etc. She does this all on her own currently but it takes her hours due to fatigue/and arthritic hands/feet. they live on a beautiful property lake whitney overlooking the water and do not want to leave the birds and views. flexible on days and times, but I would say 3-4 hour shifts 3 times a week would be ideal.. could use more or less depending on your needs/schedule About the care needs: Professional and trustworthy. Caring, and funny is always a plus. Bob is sharp as a tack, and easy to work with. Mom is easy, she is just pretty disabled and a little bit modest/stubborn to do things on her own (and takes FOREVER) I know she needs help with hygeine, esp dry skin on her lower legs/feet/arms and occ bumps/scrapes..... from small falls ..... she just needs a little TLC that a man is not so good at doing. I live in ATX - and work full time with my own kids..... but I know they need help from someone that would be like a daughter ;) /family Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
