About who needs care: My oma (grandmother) is a sassy 91-year-old German lady! She is independent but has started to have some decline. She is mobile without assistance, cooks her meals, and drives. She has a medical history of a pacemaker, high blood pressure, and neuropathy in her feet. She is lonely. I live in North Dallas and my uncle works full-time. We are the only family. She loves her Siamese cat. She sews neck rolls and windsocks. She likes The Young and The Restless. She wakes up between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Reads the newspaper, and drinks her coffee. Proceeds with her hobbies. Probably goes to bed around 9 p.m. About the care needs: Personality: good at holding, and listening to the conversation. Relaxed, laid back, and natural. She doesn't wear make-up or jewelry. Comfortable with a messy, and crowded environment (the house isn't unsafe). No specialized skill. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
