About who needs care: We are seeking compassionate, responsible, and motivated Personal Care Attendants to assist a 28-year-old male with autism in achieving greater independence in daily life. The individual needing care is verbal, compliant, and smart, but faces challenges with executive functioning and social skills. He is mostly independent, but needs prompting and guidance. He also struggles with structuring his time. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will be patient, empathetic, and comfortable providing support in various areas, including self-help skills, hygiene prompting, and recreation. About the care needs: -Prior experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities preferred, but not required. -Must have own reliable transportation for outings and errands. -Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. -Enthusiastic, encouraging and motivating -Ability to provide a safe, supportive environment. -Strong communication skills -Ability to pass background check and meet CLASS program requirements- Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
