About who needs care: He has Alzheimer's dementia, and is a diabetic. Refusing to take a shower/or bath, sometimes even a sponge bath, due to his disease (I think) It's easy for him to get agitated with his wife as she is his current main caregiver. He writes short articles, poetry, or records what he sees and hears. Writing seems to be his safe comfort zone, or hiding place. About the care needs: He is okay with most daily routines, bathing is our major concern and urgent need now. Sometimes nail trimming. He only has a few teeth, and eats mostly soft food. He has been in the United States for over 60 years, a community college instructor before he retired. He Speaks English but is hard of hearing. He will feel more comfortable if the caregiver is male. but, it's okay if a female caregiver can do it.
