About who needs care: In heart failure, nothing can be done. He wishes to die at home. He has a few weeks left as far as I know.. I am 86 yrs old and would need help putting him on a bedpan, lifting him up on pillows, turning him over to prevent bed sores, helping him to bathe (in the bed) I could handle nights with Depends He is alert, with good communicative skills. About the care needs: I have given most of the details. He will only be on medications, no special equipment of machines. I will get appropriate bed and bedside commode.
