About who needs care: She is battling AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). She gets chemo treatments every month for 2 weeks. She now lives with us and we are finding it difficult to live our lives and also provide the care she needs in the home each day. Currently, she gets up fairly late around 11 a.m. She needs to go to the bathroom every 2-3 hours typically. She uses her walker to get anywhere, but we help her to the bathroom and to her room. She is a fall risk and fell in the hospital during inpatient treatment. She typically just goes from her bedroom to the recliner and then that has really been her days lately. We'd like to be able to broaden that as much as we can, but with her being a risk of getting infections, we have to be careful about taking her places outside the house. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
