About who needs care: Mom has been in the hospital with atrial fibrillation and abnormal lab values for her kidneys and liver. She is weak and tired and has difficulty walking. She needs assistance in the bathroom getting into and out of the bathtub and someone to prepare meals. About the care needs: Mom has lived independently alone for the last 20 years after my father died. She has never used an assistive device and is resisting using one now she is alert but does have dementia with short-term memory difficulties and having a hard time adjusting to being dependent. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
