About who needs care: I have a TBI and scoliosis. I find it difficult to do basic tasks like troubleshooting a printer or eating if I have to do more than boil water or heat something in the oven or microwave. I also make lists and then lose the lists, resulting in missed appointments and deadlines. Rarely, when my body wont behave properly, I need help with bathing or getting dressed and putting on eyeliner. Really what I need is someone who can do the floors, help me prep food that I can eat on days I fend for myself, and assist me in my scheduling and work. The work part might look like helping me load and unload and set up a stall at a local market for my art, helping me transfer files between devices, or driving me on errands to pick up small items that aren't worth the delivery or I need to look at in person. My kids are teens, so they can do most things, but they cant help full time and nor should they have to. About the care needs: The house is chaotic with kids and cats and exes and art and music; I also work in politics and while I don't find someones political beliefs relevant to this work, the nature of my work and decor might be offputting to people who have a conservative political leaning as a major part of their identity. To each his own, and I would never want someone to feel uncomfortable at work! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
