About who needs care: My friend is a Brain Cancer patient and is almost terminally ill. He has lost the ability to speak and take care of his own personal needs. He needs someone to help me bathe, clean, use restrooms, move around a bit and such in his home. His meals and medication is managed by his wife and family, but in case of some emergency it would be beneficial to have assistance from someone trained. His wife has to go to office at least 3 days a week and during that time the caregiver will need to manage everything for the patient. About the care needs: A firm but caring personality will be ideal. Someone who can speak Hindi will be a great candidate because the patient has lost the ability to verbally communicate, especially in English. He speaks a little bit of Hindi only. Having interest in movies or sports will help the caregiver work closely with the patient. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
